| Enders, Bernd, Prof. Dr. phil. habil., born in 1947,
studied at the Siegerland branch of the Pädagogische
Hochschule Westfalen-Lippe and at the Musikhochschule in
Cologne. Obtained Ph.D. in musicology, philosophy and
pedagogy at Cologne University in 1980. Worked in school
administration as Studienrat. Since 1981 he has
been on the faculty (ARat, AOR, PD, Apl. Prof.) of
Osnabrück University Department of Music /
Musicology. Post-doctoral Habilitation obtained in
1986. Professorship at Cologne University Department of
Musicology from 1992 to 1994 specializing in 20th-century
music; from 1994 onwards professorship in Systematic
Musicology at Osnabrück
University in the areas of musical electronics and
musical computer science.
Numerous publications (for ex.: Lexikon Musikelektronik, Mainz 1985, 1987, Leipzig 1988), lectures in Germany and abroad as well as radio and TV features addressing the pedagogical and scientific implications of new technologies in music. Director of the CAMI Project including the development and publication of the educational computer program system Computerkolleg Musik; scientific advisor serving on the Lower Saxony Ministry of Culture and Education project Schools and New Technologies, initiator and program director of the Osnabrück Biennial KlangArt Festival and coordinator from 1991 to 1997 of the KlangArt congresses "New technologies in music" included in that festival. Initiator and executive director of the "Music and media technologies" research project. Since 1997 member of the committee Music and new Media, an institution of the German Music Council (Deutscher Musikrat). In 1999-2001. Dean of the Faculty of Education and Cultural Studies at the University of Osnabrueck. Member of various committees and working groups, expert for the DFG, the Volkswagen Foundation, Ministry of Science and many other institutions, also in degrees awarded, etc. Founder and co-editor of Musicology Internet publishing epOs-Music. Board member since the founding of the Institute virtUOS (center to support virtual education at the University of Osnabrueck), participation in research projects, including DFG, 2009 Visiting Professor in Graz, Director of the Institute of Musicology and Music Pedagogy at the University of Osnabrueck. |
